The idea behind Airxbig
At Airxbig, we believe that digitally supported autonomous mobility can help society live more freely and positively. We offer a platform for professional drone projects that allows us to safely plan and execute flights with a wide range of hardware and software requirements. This results in an "all-in-one platform" for the use of drones "as-a-service" for our customers with an included traffic management system and the required data protection: climate-neutral, resource- and cost-saving.
Furthermore our vision is to be the first company worldwide to offer the possibility of integrating an existing asset - the AXB fleet of drones - by means of a token and thus to participate directly in the company's success. In this way, Airxbig's stakeholders will be integrated into the value chain and will not only benefit from our services but also from Airxbig's success.
Right now we are on the verge of the autonomous drone-flight. “Drones as a service” is our contribution for a climate neutral and cost-efficient use of resources in the fields of agriculture, security and logistics.

Christian gained 25 years of experience in strategy, analysis, leadership, and communication in the military service. His business and psychology studies focused on process and project management as well as topics related to security and data protection. Born in Carinthia, he is living in Vienna and in the Malta Valley.
Mag. (FH) Jürgen Bauer

Jürgen is a strategist and implementer with passion. For more than 11 years he has been gaining experience in military service and later in various IT companies. He is currently completing his master's degree in business informatics. Jürgen is currently living and working in Vienna.
Ing. Kurt Lakner
Projektmanager & Drohnenpilot
Kurt gained experience in 3D planning for 10 years and is an absolute team player. The skilled drone pilot is interested in the modern technologies of our time - from drone applications to blockchain technology to photography and videography. Born in Carinthia, he loves to spend his free time climbing at lofty heights and enjoys his time at the beautiful Lake Ossiach.
Thomas Schneider, MSc
Thomas has studied for a Bachelor's and Master's degree in geoinformation and environment. He has gained experience as an employee in this field at the University of Applied Sciences in Villach. In addition to the application of GIS systems, the focus has been primarily on the evaluation of drone data and the use of drones in viticulture.
Magdalena Zapletal, BA
Projektassistentin & Backoffice
As a project assistant and back office manager at AIRXBIG, Magdalena is largely responsible for the projects' success and the customer satisfaction. Born and living in Carinthia, she loves being out in nature, whether walking her dog or hiking in the mountains.
Backoffice & Finanzen
Martina, born in Vienna, is a great asset to the team in the areas of back office and finance. Over the last 30 years, she has gained experience in back office and management positions with focus on accounting, controlling and HR. She has deepened her knowledge by studying business administration and business psychology. She has been working independently as a management consultant, business coach and mental trainer since 2016.
The predecessor organisation of today's Airxbig was founded in 2019 with the idea of protecting companies from industrial espionage and bringing the issue of social engineering more to the forefront in this context and working to educate. Then came Covid-19 and the world stood still. Christian Preiml, however, saw the opportunity in the crisis and recognised the need and the future of drone technology. In search of the right team, he met Christian Gedeon and Airxbig slowly took shape in his mind. Thanks to excellent contacts with Austrian blue light organisations, government-related companies and, last but not least, the Austrian Armed Forces, points of contact for projects were soon found and thus the first step towards founding the company was taken. In January 2022, the company was established in Mattersburg with the participation of the Burgenland Business Agency. Specialists from the pool of experts are brought in around the core team depending on the project tasks. With this flexible system, optimal order fulfilment for the customer can be guaranteed.
